Technology as integration …
MOSAIC purpose is to use technology as an enabling and attractive element for autistic children, therefore allowing the creation of educational activities customized on their needs. The activities can be introduced in the educational program to help developing personal and social skills. Furthermore, students can develop their digital skills by programming the activities carried out with MOSAIC Kit and be responsible of their classmates’ inclusion.

… through playful and didactic activities
The game is a crucial moment in the development of a child. Considering the peculiarities of the subjects with ASD, MOSAIC proposes a tool with which create customizable recreational and educational activities. Inserting these experiences in school helps to enhance the abilities of each autistic child.
WHO IS MOSAIC FOR?
MOSAIC aims to all preschool, primary schools and junior high school that have pupils with autistic spectrum disorder.
MOSAIC Kit
The Kit includes a software to create customized learning experiences, and Smart Objects to carry out activities, supporting the autistic students in the process of learning and in social interactions with teachers and classmates. Each Kit includes 6 Smart Cube, 2 MOMO controller, Smart Tags (based on NFC technology), a router, cables for charging and a book of suggested activities.
MOSAIC Education
MOSAIC is not only as a tool for including child with ASD in classroom, but it is also a training program for teachers, helping them to develop knowledges and skills. For that reason, from the very beginning, MOSAIC focuses on education, exploring several pedagogical, educational and technical aspects: MOSAIC Academy is the platform designed to help teachers finding training materials for Autism and developing activities with the Kit. Behind MOSAIC there is a team of experts in the autism field, guaranteeing a scientific and precise methodology in educating teachers on how to approach and better understand students affected by this disorder, and how to leverage the Smart Kit by carrying out targeted customizable activities.
MOSAIC Editor
The MOSAIC Editor allows teachers to program activities in a simple and intuitive way. In fact, with the drag-n-drop editor, the teacher can autonomously manage and create new cause-effect relationships between the smart objects and the children, by using blocks which represents objects or actions, creating a narrative flow that represents the activity itself. Furthermore, teachers participating in the project can share activities and best practices with the Community, through a dedicated web portal, with the purpose of constantly improving MOSAIC and share knowledge among users.
